New local Veterans Affairs interim director to lead Jan. 31 town hall at Eugene VA clinic

Register-Guard - 1/5/2019

Jan. 04--The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs plans to hold a town hall later this month at the Eugene VA clinic, and the new local interim director is set to lead the event.

The town hall will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Jan. 31 at the clinic, 3355 Chad Dr., according to the VA. The agency is inviting veterans, their family members and other stakeholders to the event. Roseburg VA Health Care System Interim Director Kevin Forrest and other VA officials will take questions from the audience.

Every three months the VA holds a town hall at the Eugene VA clinic, said VA spokeswoman Sarah Teeter. The town halls typically take place on the first Thursday of each quarter. Forrest takes over as interim director on Monday so the agency moved the town hall date to Jan. 31.
